Welcome to our school

Welcome to Saint James Catholic Elementary School, administered by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose since 1924. We are proud of our nurturing, learning environment in which we focus on helping our students to become faith-filled persons preaching the Word, dedicated to working for others, committed to personal growth and are intellectually competent. We are a school in the Mission with a mission.

The staff and I would like to welcome you to schedule a tour of our school. As you walk through the halls you will find numerous parent and community volunteers supporting all of our children daily. All of our parents become involved in our children’s education through participation in service hours to the school.

Saint James School is a small school yet provides education programs often only seen in larger schools. Along with our standard curriculum we also offer Environmental Education through overnight outdoors excursions and retreats, a weeklong ocean studies program (M.A.R.E.), student based technology support program (Mouse Squad), and robotics/programming with MindStorms. We also provide music
and choir, physical education and team sports through CYO sports teams.
